Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

7 ]% ^8 X; L$ |8 M: f+ A+ G· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
, ]; p: T" f$ ~% z) B
8 r1 K4 i: H4 y* ?' V8 Y8 ^· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
6 {4 p- f  h; i" e9 o
· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
0 ]3 A+ v- R2 V2 O2 j+ tQualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license

4 S, r1 g, \. [9 i" U* @4 f3 [! D7 a· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
- N& d2 h+ P! g. C1 ^! f& z) R, ]( s
4 e5 y% J+ I& s2 I4 |· Load securement certification
* W( n* Y! a( X& |
1 X  e: c% v. f9 k2 u5 R/ v· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations
) L. g5 u; D# C" y- j, Z" T
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
& d  K" K( N' ^  E2 g8 Q! t7 O
· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
