相信很多人都知道市政府在没有争取居民意见的情况下占用很多成熟小区的Park来建FirstPlace condo。这里是我们的家园，而我们没有任何说话的权利，有点像天朝的强拆强买。市政府在整个过程，包括对后来居民的反对意见和诉讼活动中没有表现出任何的尊重和适当的沟通。

让我们发起我们的声音，更多的人参与进来，让他们知道我们是关心我们的家园的。让这些政客知道我们care，要不然你我的权利和利益都会被进一步的剥夺。

这是Haddow居民的志愿者起草的peace Rally 信息：
We invite you to join us on Saturday, June 18th at 10:00 a.m. on the driveway of 2120 Haddow Drive, located across from the construction site.  Bring your family and your favourite park activity.  Together, we will play in Haddow Park and voice our views about the development of our green space.  It is important that we demonstrate to Rohit and the City of Edmonton the effect this has had on our community and that we will continue to stand together.  This is extremely important because Haddow has another school site that could possibly face the same fate.
Please tell your friends and neighbours to come out and join us. People from other communities, who are facing the same situation, are joining us to show their support and solidarity.
Bring signs that express your love for Haddow Park.  At this peaceful rally, we will play together, listen to a speaker, and show our solidarity as a community and our love for our park.

No plan for new school at the school site now doesn't mean that there is no need for school in the future. Once the school site is gone, it is impossible to bring school to the community.

There is no elementary school in the 3 nearby neighborhoods -- Haddow, Falconer Height, Henderson Estates. The city still decide to demolish one of the possible school site, I can only say this is a extremely poor decision. And it is said there are some black case deal between previous mayor and current contractor.

Look at Earl Buxton and George H. Luck and how close they are planned and how close they are to Haddow comparatively. However, the kids must travel 6km (12km in total) to Brookside every day, that is at least one hour on the road. POOR planning!!!!

每次去的人都不少，不过不管用啊。人家地基都开始挖了，反对还有用吗？国内可以组织一群老头老太太包围空地，这里地广人稀，胳膊拧不过大腿。

我也感觉作用不大了，都开始挖地基了，而且也没有办法阻止他们动工。

大家都抗争了一段时间了，也不知道市政府是怎么回事，多好的公园就被破坏了

可不，孩子们没有地方踢球，路上又弄得很脏。这边这么多空地，哪里不能盖房子，非要在成熟社区操场上盖。可惜我不会英语，没法儿和他们沟通。

我觉得对于老业主来说是很不公平，政府随便改变小区规划，对房价都有影响，挺好的一个社区，现在搞的这个社区现在这么多往外卖房子的。

这事儿得抗争到底，别忘了另外一边更大地也岌岌可危。 14年得时候那个school board代表就说了他们对这块地没有计划。政府可能把那块地也拿来盖房子。

这事是2007年定的。

说实话哈，现在的很多抗议者都很傻B, 当时曼德尔每一次都是高票当选市长，其中很多票就是来自于今天的抗议者。
