在家长们的压力下，埃德蒙顿市政府正在考虑在一些学校区设置30公里/小时的限速牌。而管理部门则认为，学校区的设置形同虚设，因为它根本就不能减少事故的发生。

Woodcroft区的学校董事会成员Patricia Grell表示在每一个运动场区和学校区都应该实行一定的速度限制。她说：“所有的人都行色匆匆，当他们经过这些地区的时候，他们会忘记速度限制，不会考虑孩子们处于危险之中。”

City council is considering putting 30-kilometre-an-hour zones around some schools, after pressure from parents.

Administration officials have long argued that there is no evidence school speed zones reduce the danger for children.

& B; ^: M! L) A) Y  l5 g"This is simply adding it to our set of solutions," Rick Millican, general manager of transportation, said. "Council is not saying if they approve it, put a school zone everywhere someone wants on.

The city hasn't used reduced speed limits around schools for more than 20 years.

Patricia Grell, with the Woodcroft area school council, says every school and playground should have lower speed limits.

$ g# @4 B$ v; p% v! O"People are in a hurry, people are stressed out, they forget the speed limit and our children are very at risk when they are going to these places," she said.

可能是只有校区标志，而没有30max这个标志吧。
