The show is a result of the Miromoda Fashion Design Awards that were held recently in Wellington and will feature 8 aspiring Maori fashion designers who were chosen to show from a group of 20 finalists.

! S5 m# B6 |6 G6 T3 DOrganisers of the biggest fashion event on the New Zealand calendar are promising a full schedule for the ninth year of Air New Zealand Fashion Week.
Also new for 2009 is “The Viewing Room”, where each designer will deliver their collection directly after their show, giving buyers and media the chance to see the garments up close and talk with the designer teams’ one on one.
2 c! U) G  j) U& QRounding off the week is Air New Zealand Fashion WEEKEND which kicks off fashionably early at 6pm on Friday 25th September.
The party continues late into the night before a full day of entertainment for the public on Saturday 25th September starting at 9am.
- I/ w: G9 c2 v' F! oAttractions include numerous Season Preview Shows and repeat collection shows by some of the country’s top
4 j. z' t  T6 ?/ O, D1 @designers as well as the Designer Selection shows of in-season fashion that are always a sellout.
MUSE was launched at New York Fashion Week earlier this month and the pair will bring the label to the runway at Air New Zealand Fashion Week on September 25th.

“We recognised early on that 2009 was going to be an extremely challenging year for the fashion industry, so we’ve cut our cloth accordingly.

Another new feature is The Diet Coke – “Little Black Dress Show” featuring 5 of New Zealand’s top designers and 5 of Australia’s top designers, who will be custom making garments for this group show.
