The Importance of Walking

   to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing

    My grandpa started walking
/ K/ v# M( w; I4 y; N    five miles a day when he was 60.+ G1 \/ ]$ {0 q9 M' }
    Now he's 97 years old3 }: ^( {" ]" y9 m9 i
    and we don't know where the hell he is.* R- F, q6 R. t- L& Z
  
1 V2 {6 S2 b  ~0 v/ J6 m; s! `   I like long walks,
2 p( [" L. s3 P2 n, r7 Q3 ]    especially when they are taken0 ^4 J& X. E+ ]7 f
    by people who annoy me.6 I2 V" ?, ?" u7 O
  
  ^  s: H! B5 F4 d5 A   The only reason I would take up walking' Y7 d, k1 X: [+ G; |% }
    is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.$ i0 P" c* }' G9 ~
  ) w2 K0 c* ]0 ^) b1 r
    I have to walk early in the morning,0 G& V' }( ~6 N  ?; ^
    before my brain figures out what I'm doing..- O' `0 o3 D+ v+ s1 a% d/ _
   
1 F5 H8 ^& y+ T/ k: _   I joined a health club last year,; D) U+ J) B" y4 P% X1 ~
    spent about 400 bucks.9 }  |5 Y8 q! b. ?7 Q
    Haven't lost a pound.
, o( F; f" d( a1 B/ C3 z9 ]* N    Apparently you have to go there.
) C/ [0 b. v2 [. H6 c5 d7 l  
- ^1 [5 X) G! O! ?, s   Every time I hear the dirty word 'exercise',4 @! X" j7 ~  O. C
    I wash my mouth out with chocolate..
5 t' F3 [" K. A0 x' Q9 Y  3 v2 b; y8 Y" J' m& b1 a
   I do have flabby thighs,
- Q; E, t1 E. s2 n    but fortunately my stomach covers them.2 L; r$ o: I: x( @
* w3 T  y: c7 u
    The advantage of exercising every day
! _- K0 \: Q% p3 l3 v& V" _  &n bsp; is so when you die, they'll say,
2 r) [9 v2 W6 s( l" N    'Well, she looks good doesn't she.'
* U$ }: R: f5 Z" m0 @: z1 [6 E  
7 m& ^) _" Q- Y   If you are going to try cross-country skiing,
4 K0 q: l$ a( b1 b  start with a small country.4 i5 M: M; c2 Q1 X- {
   ! v6 H5 [$ D+ d" X  J- _8 h
   I know I got a lot of exercise
, y, n: t& f" x& I( \, U9 X    the last few years,......, K* m9 Z! g% J; w* F
    just getting over the hill.
  |3 y/ ^: j! ]* m# [8 R/ h8 b( P+ N; O: Z0 w. o( b
  We all get heavier as we get older,
6 R$ t, U5 Z" @7 Z! T: t    because there's a lot more information in our heads.$ h( v$ {1 `$ f; g% R& ?
    That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
* d; Y. c. V, r; ?/ `; K  N   
; m# S& g, G& e% H/ i" c3 Z   AND
( ~0 x0 J! m" i; U1 D5 N. n8 k; m" w( z
    Every time I start thinking too much
2 [2 ~6 R; ^8 k, @- n3 ~1 p     about how I look,
' I# d0 g! U* Y! h# n    I just find a Happy Hour
( k+ \5 n& w- N$ A9 E$ a2 ]   and by the time I leave,% f/ n/ o: x" _; \4 x
    I look just fine.
