5号高级牌

我有5号初级牌已经2年了，听有的朋友说申请5号高级牌不用考试，2年之后自动转入高级牌，有这样的好事吗？，我不太明白，如果不申请5号高级牌，一直用初级牌可以吗？

Yes, if you were in Nova Scotia.
But in Alberta, you need to take an advanced road test to get your 5号高级牌.

9 _* _- n1 }+ k' kIn Alberta, you may use your 初级牌 for as long as you want and many people choose to do so. Also, there is no impact on your insurance premium even if you get your 5号高级牌.
( t* [8 u$ v  n: g1 n; t% dThere are, however, two limitations on your 初级牌: A: you must have a zero alcholo amount in your blood (ie, you cannot drink and drive); B: the number of passengers cannot exceed the number of seat belts in your car.
