CSSA Spring Trip to Jasper on May 21, 22, and 23.

CSSA will organize a Spring Trip to Jasper from May 21 to 23, 2005.
Activities include sight viewing, canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge, and

spring at Miette Hot Springs.
. ^% q1 w. A7 ~# p6 L' G  lWe will go to Jasper by mini-van rented by CSSA and driven by CSSA

0 A5 w9 U0 v0 I: ]We'll stay there for two nights. Accommodations are arranged by CSSA.
You are
responsible for your own meals during this trip. Please refer to the

for detailed information.

-        Ride to Jasper by mini-van.(7 people per minivan)
-        Canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge.($35 per canoe per hour and $25 per
half
hour)(Each canoe can hold 3 people at most.)
-        Hot spring in Jasper for the evening.(Usually hot spring costs about

person. So it's not that expensive. And after knowing how many people
will go,

not going, you could also have a little visit in Jasper town while

- S3 {1 m/ b3 Apeople go to the hot spring.)

-        Sight Viewing in Japer: We'll go Maligne Lake first thing in the

And we'll do the Malign Boat Cruises.(I'll take us 90 minutes round
# W, p: T' z6 c6 c) _trip. It's
$35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12years old)). If you haven't done
this
- l. B& A+ N& m' x* w9 w* Zbefore, I strongly recommend you to do so.

Day Three

-        Ride home in the early afternoon since we need to return the rented
van on

Things to Bring:
' I; u0 v, ~- p. ]# a8 H-        Travel needs.
; Y% O  b" y  f4 w! h-        Swim suit if you want to do Hot Spring.
5 y: z' Y8 ]  b! ~' \" c6 p-       Sun glasses and sun screen to protect your eyes and skin.
-       Camera. It's beautiful in the mountain in the spring.
. ~9 l2 ?  U0 B, t-       Bring some warm clothes since it's still cool in the mountain

. E% ^% U' y3 V9 qlate May. And we also will go to the Columbia Ice Field so warm clothes
and
shoes are definitely needed.
-       Wear comfort shoes cause we'll do lots of walking and of course
drving.(But you won't need to worry about the driving).
-       We won't take care of the food for you, but we'll stop at
' X0 z" ?6 m, p5 q/ }, v8 i& I7 `' gplaces where
there are food at lunch or dinner hour, so you could have something to
' R; E0 ]3 s; b+ _4 c* {8 Keat.
' \% h4 q- z, O# Y. [8 ]9 cFeel free to bring your own food. (Like instant noodles.) (There is an

Jasper, so you could always buy food there if you need.)

accommodation in jasper, and national park entrance tickets, and it
excludes
+ M$ m6 s; N& u/ z! _5 q$ dthe hot-spring, the canoeing, and the maligne Boat Cruises).
7 z. l  r- D5 X  ^5 HHot Spring ticket was about $6 in total according to last year's price.
Canoeing is $35 per canoe per hour, $25 per half an hour.
Maligne Boat Cruises are $35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12 years
old).
