It’s too noisy with one big mouth here. Overloaded with that phone number in bold. It’s way too much to see your big title and phone number over and over again.# Z" c, W5 X, h$ C6 h) b/ B$ T

BTW, I think professional in Chinese is 职业, not 专业, am I right? 专业 should be Specialty. Also, some your arguments not are logic.

If you define a thing and then use it to support your point, you have to be sure that is correct.  Google is famous for searching and also is good for many other areas which you  do not familiar with.  6 d) t, S; ]4 e

Based on the online dictionary you provided (2nd one): A; F8 b; L( O& I2 o6 H) D; i
. d) O$ q0 i) y* e0 M
Professional: / S* D* j/ p9 L
. n+ M- H7 d& ?& B6 U( x2 z* a
1. "A person following a profession, especially a learned profession". In this case, it can be translated to 专业, such as lawyers, doctors, and other professional people -- some engineers. Normally they need extensive education and training.
3 l- d' F$ _$ n- z% H+ ?( C
8 W; \, c, o) w+ u, C2. "One who earns a living in a given or implied occupation: hired a professional to decorate the house."
* D# z% }5 M+ U2 Y$ X- d& vRealtor should be in this category. It's better to be translated to 职业, such as a professional golf player, a professional to cut your hair. ) H4 g/ L$ H1 p2 j

Realtor is an occupation. Do you agree?. so it should be translated to 职业?

I agree with the other post. Google is good for retrieving information, not a knowledge authority, although you can list many examples Google can be used for. Translated Professional to two words 专业 is not really helping us to understanding professional.

I also have an Oxford dictionary at hand and show the same explanation as the online one you suggested.

Good point.  Now you realized that there are many means in the word "professional", then let's look back your sentence: "I think professional in Chinese is 职业, not 专业, am I right?".
