Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

( }0 U9 J% B) w· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

& W# J/ I( O: @- V· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
# U0 m8 v' }( @, s- n5 O6 p4 g# Q
3 T$ |1 b" ]0 S( U) s' A' C  T· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

; u/ h% _: P5 x/ k8 W, Z( D% N5 e· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
* [. z/ Q/ V7 z6 e5 ]6 w$ TQualifications and Training Requirements

: |/ [7 |' {/ a6 ^. a· Minimum 3 years experience

/ Y3 X' o9 Q+ d# r+ z/ s! y( @· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills
) g* E; ^8 t; d  g
· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
