Personal opinion - the Hyundai Accent appears to be a better choice. Both the Sonic and Accent belong to the subcompact category with relatively cramped space but the Accent surely offers enough space for you to be able to stretch your legs. Yet the price of Accent is on par with the Sonic. The Accent GLS provides an impressive list of equipment that are not typically available with the Sonic. Again, this is just a personal view. What I always did, where I had any doubt of anything, was to test drive the car to make sure it lives up to my expectations. Good luck buddy.
