The content of this story lies somewhere between sci-fi, romance, and on a deeper level, free will. Eric Bana plays Henry, a reference librarian who was born with a rare genetic condition that leads him to involuntarily time travel. Henry is not in control of his condition and finds himself time travelling without warning, which makes it difficult for him to maintain a “normal” life. Rachel McAdams plays his wife who obviously struggles with his impromptu absences. This film is based on the book by Audrey Niffenegger, who said she wrote the book for librarians and aging punks. 108 minutes (2009) PG133 r/ N1 g- ^- h# ?* G

Knowing that their lives will end as they enter adulthood, when their organs are needed and they “complete”, the three friends struggle to come to terms with their own mortality. This dystopian science-fiction novel brings up questions about the human soul and reminds us that unlike the characters in this story, we have the opportunity to choose which direction our lives are going to take. 102 minutes (2010) 14A, C2 K7 n$ _+ s) g
