各位大牛，有木有自己换过地毯的呀

想自己动手换地毯。就一间屋子。原来的地毯，都脏花了。本来想等地毯脏成黑的，就不用换了。可脏滴不均匀。想自己换了。不知道有木有大牛自己换过，去哪儿买地毯，工具复杂不？望畅所欲言。

it's not difficult, but it's a lot of labour work.

1, it is possible to grow mould underneath the new top layer if you don't remove the old top layer
2, it's very difficult to lay it evenly flat all across
3, it's very hard to anchor it down with the baseboards, etc

( \& f! L9 K& ?the old under layer can be removed or you can leave it in depanding on its condition. if you want to remove it, it's a lot of physical labour work.

installing the new carpet is very easy, but again it's a lot of physical labour. carpets are a lot heavier than most people think. plus, you'll need to do your own measurements, cutting, transportation of new/old material, etc.

4 E( o4 t1 Y  ~' t. X2 gend of roll usually have good deals on material and labour to install carpets. give them a call to see if they can swing you a deal. depand on the size of your room and the grade of the carpet you're looking for, I'm guessing you can get away with less than $750 all in.

; `2 l! l1 K% t7 X( B; W) o7 ?& `ultimately, you have to decide if you want a professional look and feel or some quick and dirty fix. mix and matching small patches of carpet can be an eye sore in a long run.
