宵禁令悄然通过 年轻人义愤填膺

爱城东郊小镇，斯特拉思科纳 （Strathcona）于本周一晚些时候通过了一项针对未成年人的宵禁法案。除非有特别的理由，法案将禁止未成年人在凌晨1点至6点的时段内外出，否则警察将会其强制遣返回家，其父母也会受到相应罚款。

投票支持宵禁法案的其他议员们也大都希望宵禁法案能更好地保护公共财产，降低犯罪率。

He described the bylaw as "unjustifiable" and was skeptical many young people would obey it. "There's nothing wrong," he said, in ignoring an unjust law.

" M/ r# u4 O3 w8 n. j/ dThe idea first came from Coun. Peter Wloderczak, a former RCMP officer. "I proposed it because I know there's a problem out there at those hours of the morning," he said. "I'm trying to protect our youth."

But those against it say the curfew cannot be enforced – and wonder if it would stand up to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

( @& u2 e# z4 b/ lThe mayor is one of the curfew's most vocal critics. Cathy Olesen called it a "dark day," adding "banning all youth from our streets is not the way to go."
