Help: Buying a car with title "leased vehicle"

# r+ A8 }4 f# j/ O' M: t; V0 \  d, C  I am going to buy a car, but when I am going to pay today. I notice that the title on the registration is " leased vehicle". Then I asked the seller and he told me he has paid off the lease, but he has not updated the info with the registry. I have not paid him yet. So I just wonder if
8 n+ A2 c3 I; @  H* vhe needs to update the title with the registry first before I buy it?

: e& G  p: Y5 ~/ mhe just needs to provide me the document showing he has paid off the lease (from the dealer or the bank). Then I go to register the new car with all those information.
