Christian Louboutin’s special-order shoes come under its exclusive Selleria range and can be had in a variety of mate-rials from calf leather to crocodile.
In four new styles, the louboutin shoes are contemporary revisions of the original model - an old satchel, found in the Christian Louboutin boutique’s attic in Rome, containing fur pelts, each of them signed by a client.
“The Selleria made-to-order is characterised by a return to those traditional techniques used by Christian Louboutin to create fur coats: a homage to the roots, an emotion stitched to an exclusive object,” said Christian Louboutin brand manager (South Asia Pacific), Steven Lam.
He added that the made-to-order shoe “destructures” itself just like a Christian Louboutin fur coat, eliminating the lining for a softer feel. Details on the shoe include visible but immaculate stitching, studs and buckles.
Perhaps the most interesting accent that you can have on your shoe is a personalised tag.
“Every shoe is signed, as the furs were in the past. Each shoe is personalised with the client’s monogram engraving on a silver plaque,” Lam explained.
Colours that you can choose from are inspired by shades of the earth, fire and water. They include indigo, black, bronze, brick brown,christian shoes, blueberry, red, sky, lilac, pewter and white.
For that personal touch, you’d have to wait four months for your shoe to be ready. The price? From RM12,000 onwards
