Transportation Department spokeswoman, Olivia Alair, said the

unintended acceleration have caused 43 fatal crashes with 52: w" I% ?# m, ^
deaths and 38 injuries. About two-thirds of the incidents have* {, ^$ g# R9 D( H- K4 W
been reported since Toyota started recalling vehicles last year% o( N+ D$ a* \2 L

car was repaired Feb. 12 and accelerated unexpectedly for five

& q0 C8 a/ E2 \: o4 i$ X/ I5 xThe owner of the Avalon and 2007 Camry said their vehicles were

The owner of the 2009 Matrix said the recall work was! @# b- y9 s! f/ J
completed Feb. 10 and on Feb. 26 the car moved forward with the8 u2 T A% Z: ]. u7 F
driver’s foot on the brake in a parking lot.

9 Y/ `* W- m9 g7 v6 B3 @unidentified woman wrote in the complaint. “My son said ‘It’s& b q1 ?. q f2 o7 t
doing it again Mom!’ I put it in neutral, and we both heard the
$ B4 N2 B0 z; n3 k! _, C" O1 |; R# `engine wind out like I had pushed the gas pedal to the floor.$ [. U" T5 a1 U( K
This obviously means the recall ‘fix’ isn’t working!”
