Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties
! j+ t8 Y" B4 x8 K' S5 R
· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
2 Q( _* \- O- }+ d: n
$ w" g+ D  {3 @- C· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

2 A$ V* \3 U3 Q% w· Minimum 3 years experience
+ z  n) w% T% q$ @
· Valid Class 1 license
2 Y4 e& X* O+ d5 h; x4 H7 h$ W; V
5 U" j% x5 {. ^4 a6 g· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

3 E8 Y( H% c! K  g5 D· Excellent organizational and time management skills

6 w% p  ~& T) p" Y# p% `& S5 M· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.
