Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me:
& d1 t2 u' @5 A, J3 F9 N- N8 F' \"I am going to send it back".
! S5 R g( x3 u$ D$ d/ dI did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:
/ x1 u$ ]( }6 F4 \ "I am sorry, what are you sending back?" 8 `, R! k' T' r1 Y- L0 d# G
He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage."
; R- R8 F- g' \8 W. i$ B"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?" ; ~6 V& @9 B3 h! F
"Yes, I did."1 j: C& r: e/ I3 T' Z, B/ {
Finally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post.
5 {/ \, u0 E) A F# lHe took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet.
, @/ f3 z: A! `9 y$ v"Are you going to take some money from the wallet to pay the postage?"6 ?' o- M q n2 K; i/ y
"No, I am not. I do not do those things."; |7 n/ p2 K" w/ V! v
He took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside.
% h, Y$ a7 N8 t M8 Y, a" Y; [I gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:
n# H- ?/ z( O E- L9 \"Is it okay that I do not write this part?"$ e6 A1 v. B8 ^& P7 a( Z
"Yes, you may." I thought he must want to be a nameless hero. But he said:

, |( C. b- Y* M1 a0 @) ?* B# ^I was surprised: "oh, where do you live?"
) P# }3 F5 J( E. U. k! PHe did not look up, and said: "I do not have a home."
& s5 j% \: `) A* Y. AMy heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it.
! [8 N7 ^- \+ k/ v( A7 T. A+ t# ]He did not a posses a home, but he had a big heart. He had the precious fortune of being a man of integrity.
