Alberta will cut 60,000jobs in the coming year due to budget

I saw Edmonton Sun news on Jan 26, 2010. Due to budget cut, alberta will lose 60,000 jobs in the coming year.  Is it means the jobs will decrease in the coming year and not like before more people come to Edmonton and maybe some people will move out Edmonton. The price of house will move down?
