location: 1st area has a very good reputation. Near two very good elementary school
               2nd will be a hot area in the near future. New gym, high school and new bus station make it a very convenient area.
It is really hard to say which is better. If I were you, I would choose the 2nd one.
$ K- e/ B2 O0 B9 _Price: the house prices are rising. But you still have a chance to negotiate it. You can make an offer which is around $460,000 first. I guess the seller will turn it down immediately. That means your offer is quite far from their bottom line. By this way, under the condition that you really want to get it, then $480,000 should be a deal price.
But sometimes, the house was on the market for quite a while, the seller is very sensitive. You might have a chance to make the deal in a good price, such as $460,000.
Nothing is hurt with an offer, even it is very low.

We visit the first house. it is pretty nice and warm. They have a fireplace in the masterbedroom. But they only has 3 bedrooms and we want 4. So we didn't amke a offer.

Thanks for your helpful comments. Under this market situation, I will be satisfied to find a suitable home. Too difficult to find a dream home. Now, good houses are sold quickly.
