Chief Public Health officer Dr. Robert Strang says Sunday four students from King's-Edgehill School in Nova Scotia ranging in age from 12 to 17 or 18 are recovering. All of them had what he describes as "very mild" cases of the flu. 6 z* C) D/ p0 Y6 M6 {/ Z / H9 x3 S# k0 q9 eCanadian officials are planning a briefing today in Ottawa on the swine flu situation, which the World Health Organization has declared to be a "public health emergency of international concern." # c7 f& d; h7 |/ P" O/ U7 @% w7 ?2 k) o. Swine Influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza that regularly cause outbreaks of influenza among pigs. Swine flu viruses do not normally infect humans, however, human infections with swine flu do occur, and cases of human-to-human spread of swine flu viruses has been documented.
