A disturbance is developing over west central Alberta. As the storm intensifies and moves towards the Slave Lake region a band of snow will develop in a northwest to southeast line through the northern half of the province. Snow is falling in the Peace river and Grande Prairie regions with local amounts of 6 to 8 centimetres already being reported in those regions. The snow will spread eastward with the system and the heaviest snowfalls are expected from the Peace river /southern Wabasca regions south into the Barrhead region then east to the northern Lloyd region and along the border into the southern McMurray region. Total snowfall accumulations across the regions will be in the 10 to 20 cm range with most of the snow falling tonight and Tuesday.; H! H; o1 K. R+ \; i
