There are two ESL Programs available at CCI-LEX and we offer continuous

. l3 F/ z6 t" SThe LEX Program is open to citizens and residents of Canada, and classes run , o0 h7 m* b! b% A5 M7 s: a4 E- v# h
during the daytime (9-3) and in the evenings (6-8) from Monday to Thursday -
7 w0 T* i: |# vthere are no Friday classes. The cost for the daytime Program is $20.00 (4
, |+ s& h+ C: @2 H/ pweeks) and the evening classes are $10.00 (4 weeks). We offer 4 levels of
! e, ]8 I1 M# s) X* R6 |- OEnglish as a Second Language study - Beginner (CLB levels 1/2), Intermediate
$ Z4 O$ } o' P8 |; v, L4 g1 (CLB levels 3/4), Intermediate 2 (CLB levels 4/5) and Advanced (CLB levels
1 i, y+ z7 C6 P2 M( J9 W6 and above), as well as a Literacy class for the absolute beginner
( N: a0 ^2 K. f$ I(Pre-Benchmark CLB levels). The majority of these classes are led by / j( s- X' D* F& M6 x [. F2 ]# b
professional volunteer ESL instructors and the focus is on helping new adult 4 E8 G1 F3 S' G( H. v) h& a
Canadians learn a second language.

# P: j: f; F9 R+ ydevelopmental courses in the afternoon, such as Communication Skills and
& Z% \/ H& u4 u# vPre-TOEFL.

In order to register, all potential students must take our placement test -
' v; Q1 S7 E$ Z m$ Gno appointment necessary. Please, allow yourself at least one hour to 6 L3 \* F! K: g8 a+ m l* v" ]5 D
write the placement test and if possible, we will assess the results of your ) p* g; w6 f3 |) g6 J3 q8 e
test immediately and begin the registration process that same day. |
